Inspection before installation
Confirm that the Volvo Brake Discs model matches your model.
Check whether the brake pads and calipers are normal, and clean the wheel hub mounting surface.
Installation steps
Remove the wheel → remove the caliper → remove the old disc → install the new disc (make sure it fits) → replace the caliper and wheel.
Tighten the screws according to the standard torque (the wheel hub bolts are usually 120-140 N·m).
Running-in period (300-500 kilometers)
Avoid sudden braking, and brake gently in the initial stage to make the brake pads fit the disc fully.
Daily maintenance
Check the thickness regularly and replace it in time if it is excessively worn.
After wading or gravel roads, brake lightly several times to clean the surface.
Common problems
Abnormal noise/tremor → Check whether the installation is smooth or whether the brake pads need to be replaced.
Rust → It can be removed by light braking after a short trip.
Note
Do not touch the brake disc when it is hot to avoid oil contamination of the friction surface.
If you have no experience, it is recommended that a professional technician install it.
