Maintenance and Replacement

Inspection cycle

It is recommended to check the wear of the Handbrake pad every 10,000-20,000 kilometers or half a year. It can be judged by the handbrake lever stroke on a daily basis. If the pull-up stroke exceeds the normal range (usually 3-5 grids are normal), or the vehicle slides slightly when parking on a slope, it needs to be checked in time.

Replacement standard

When the thickness of the friction material of the brake shoe is worn to less than 2mm, or there is severe eccentric wear, cracking, and hardening, it must be replaced immediately. In addition, if the vehicle wades or is parked for a long time, the brake shoe may be affected by rust and performance, and it also needs to be inspected and maintained.

Maintenance points

Clean the mud and oil on the surface of the handbrake regularly to prevent impurities from affecting friction; avoid pulling the handbrake for a long time to prevent spring fatigue failure; electronic parking models need to check the motor and sensor regularly to ensure the normal operation of the system.
