There is no fixed standard for the replacement cycle of truck brake pads. It mainly depends on the driving conditions, load capacity and usage habits. As a core component for the driving safety of heavy-duty trucks, reasonably grasping the replacement time can effectively avoid brake failure and ensure driving safety. Generally, it is recommended to replace them every 20,000 to 60,000 kilometers, and the specific time should be judged according to the actual situation.
In scenarios of long-distance heavy loading and frequent braking, such as logistics transportation and mining operations, the brake pads wear quickly, so it is recommended to inspect and replace them every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers; for daily light loading and short-distance transportation with gentle road conditions, the wear is slower, and the replacement can be extended to 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers. In addition, the replacement time can be judged by direct observation: if the thickness of the brake pad is less than 3mm, or there is abnormal noise during braking, or the braking distance becomes significantly longer, it needs to be replaced immediately.
When replacing, it is necessary to select high-quality brake pads suitable for the model to ensure sensitive braking and high temperature resistance. At the same time, check the wear of the brake disc to avoid affecting the braking effect due to mismatched accessories. Regular inspection and standardized replacement can not only extend the service life of the brake pads, but also build a solid line of defense for the driving safety of the truck.
